Policy Practice
Bringing together governmental, nonprofit, and private sector organizations to discuss some of the most pressing questions around emerging digital technologies, this program creates a space for learning, knowledge-sharing, and capacity-building in which participating people and organizations can work with small, agile teams – composed of Harvard faculty, staff, BKC community members, students, and outside expert collaborators – to identify key challenges and create actionable outputs. Outputs range from policy frameworks to open educational resources and are developed with an eye towards inclusion, replicability, and broad usefulness.
Previous work included the support of public sector agency representatives from Germany, Thailand, and Colombia within the context of the implementation of national digital strategies and sector-specific translations of principles into practice. With the private sector, we have collaborated with organizations both large and small, identified the concrete challenges they face in developing, deploying, and using digital technologies in socially-responsible and beneficial ways, and created resources to help them navigate those challenges.
