“The idea that we can have counter-speech when [Facebook] groups become brigade mobs is ludicrous,” said BKC Affiliate Renee DiResta, an expert in online misinformation and co-founder of Vaccinate California. “It makes just participating as an everyday citizen a high-stakes ordeal.”
“We are at the point where doctors are creating their own anti-vaxx social media attack response teams to help other doctors,” DiResta added.
