Personhood Credentials

With a large team of coauthors, Wendy Seltzer and Tom Zick consider the efficacy of implementing "personhood credentials" as means to deter bad actors online while maintaining users' anonymity. "We encourage governments, technologists, and standards bodies to prioritize the development, piloting, and adoption of personhood credentials to reduce AI-powered scalable deception."
