Shani is a doctoral student at Harvard Law School, where he taught a weekly class on copyright law under the auspices of the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society. He holds an LL.M. from Harvard Law School and an LL.B. from Tel Aviv University. He was previously a fellow with the Project on the Foundations of Private Law at Harvard Law School.  

Shani studies intellectual property law and consumer behavioral economics. His research interests include video game law, private law theory, and innovation law.
