Jeffrey A. Hall is the Department Chair and Professor of Communication Studies at the University of Kansas. 

He also directs the Relationships and Technology Lab. His award-winning book Relating Through Technology was published by Cambridge University Press in 2020. His recent book The Social Biome (with Andy Merolla) was published by Yale University Press in 2025. He has written for the Wall Street Journal and been interviewed by the New York Times, National Public Radio, Washington Post, Financial Times, and The Atlantic, and has appeared on the Steve Harvey Show.
