In a guest post for the Daily Nous Peter Suber, David Weinberger, and coauthors ask whether the future of academic philosophy lies in universities. The conversation comes amid shrinkage to traditional (i.e., university-based) philosophy departments. "Philosophy lives in its conversations among scholars, students, and teachers. When its figures, texts, topics, periods, cultures, and movements disappear from traditional institutional curricula, philosophy itself is at risk of disappearing. We want to find a way to preserve it."
