In a paper published in The Journal of Tort Law, Zahra Takhshid examines the legal potential of addressing torts committed via avatars, a particularly pressing issue given the emergence of the metaverse and spatial computing, or the extended reality (XR) industry. XR, Takhshid maintains, justifies reconsidering the self (i.e., the subject) and the scope of tort law.
