Tom Zick weighs in on the utility of personhood credentials, a way of verifying personhood without specifying individual identity, for combatting AI in higher education. "Creating a personhood credential requires the use of a 'ground truth: things we know for sure that you're a person if you have these things,' Zick says. 'You don't need to necessarily know anything about a person besides that they are a person and not a bot.'"
