Ad-Free Versions of Facebook and Instagram Have One Audience in Mind: Regulators

BKC Director Jonathan Zittrain comments on the economics of zero-ad versions of social media sites. 

It might be possible to persuade users to try a more reasonably priced ad-free service, but it’s unlikely that companies would be willing to drop their prices far enough to find out, says Zittrain.
