Tom Philbeck is Head of Technology, Society and Policy at the World Economic Forum. He works at the intersection of technology, society, business and philosophy, and helps the World Economic Forum engage in a values-based, human-centred approach to emerging technologies.
He is a fellow of the Royal Society, has lived and worked in the US, UK, Europe, Middle East and India, and strives to bring a global perspective to critical technosocial issues of the 21st Century, such as ethics of emerging technologies, global governance of technologies, technology and education, and technology and the social contract.
