Sarah is a computer science PhD candidate at Harvard, advised by Prof. James Mickens.
She is a NSF Graduate Research Fellow and was awarded a Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences Prize Fellowship. Her research interests are in the systems security and privacy space, where she enjoys building and analyzing systems to raise policymaker and public awareness of privacy harms. She is particularly interested in privacy harms stemming from AI models, and is currently exploring systems-level safety interventions for frontier models. She also has previous experience in AR/VR development, and has spent time evaluating privacy harms in immersive technologies. At the Berkman Klein Center, Sarah leads a working group focused on policy red teaming, exploring how the principles of cybersecurity red teaming can be applied to draft and maintain stronger law and policy.
