Caio Vieira Machado is a Brazilian lawyer and social scientist focused on AI governance, fairness, platform regulation, and scientific disinformation. Caio produces research and legal opinions through interdisciplinary approaches.
He holds PhD degrees from the University of Oxford and the University of São Paulo, as well as master’s degrees from the University of Oxford and the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. As co-founder and former CEO of Instituto Vero, Caio worked with Brazil's leading social media creators to combat disinformation and influence technology policy.
