Abby Everett Jaques teaches philosophy at MIT, where she is the Ethics of AI lead in the Quest for Intelligence initiative and a co-organizer of the Computational Cultures project. Her research concerns the nature of agency and its upshots for moral and political theorizing, especially as related to technology. She is also a Junior Fellow in Digital Ethics at the Jain Family Institute, where she is developing an engineering ethics curriculum and assisting a task force for the City of New York in developing guidelines for the use of automated decision systems.
