Yesterday, at the International Conference on the Future of Legal Education, CALI-Berkman Fellow Gene Koo spoke about eLangdell, an ongoing project to build a legal education commons of openly-licensed resources for the creation of low-cost casebooks, course packs, and other teaching materials. Gene's presentation follows the announcement last week of a significant step forward: Public.Resource.Org, with Creative Commons, has made available for download an enormous body - 1.8 millions pages - of U.S. Federal case. Gene previews this welcome contribution to the public domain on the Law School Innovation blog.
