Codirector Mark Wu was recently named Harvard's Henry L. Stimson Professor of Law. In his address, Wu highlighted the striking similarities between 2025 and the 1880s, when Stimson himself was an HLS student. “What we need to create [in order to stymie international conflict] is a more set of flexible arrangements that allow people to address the security concerns that are going to come out from these new dynamic arrangements,” Wu said in his address.
