Danielle Citron, a BKC faculty associate and a member of Twitter’s Trust and Safety board, says Twitter should change their rules for public officials and remove Donald Trump’s account.

“But if Twitter is going to treat public officials differently, that should mean looking at all of their activity, on and off the site, to assess their real impact,” she writes. “The president is a force multiplier upon a force multiplier; the platform’s algorithms are designed to amplify content that will be clicked on, as the president’s negative and outrageous tweets are.”
