Mutale Nkonde penned an essay entitled “Automated Anti-Blackness” for the Harvard Kennedy School Journal of African American Policy. Nkonde explores current uses and regulation of facial recognition technology, the history of Black surveillance in New York, and proposes recommendations for future regulation.
