Sam Hinds

Director of Communications

Sam Hinds is a creative director and strategist who hones resonant insights from expert knowledge. She is currently the Director of Communications for the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University.

Previously, Sam was Director of Creative Strategy at Data & Society, where she led communications, digital content, design and creative ideation, media strategy, and curatorial and cultural partnerships for five years while spearheading the launch of foundational work on media manipulation and disinformation online. She directed major art exhibition and installation communications in New York City for Creative Time, served as Editor-at-Large for The New Inquiry, ran post-genocide accountability projects for the International Center for Transitional Justice, and facilitated global operations at political risk research consultancy Eurasia Group.
