Jonas is a partner at Schuermann Fischer, a law firm specialized in dispute resolution. His practice focuses on the impact of computer science interaction with the legal framework, especially in relation to negotiation, mediation, and arbitration procedures.

His research aims to find ways to implement, govern, and guarantee the accessibility of the law to everyone. Jonas holds an S.J.D. from the University of Bern, Switzerland, and is an accredited mediator of the Swiss Chambers of Commercial Mediation SKWM and SDM-FSM. After law school, Jonas worked as a legal counsel at the Federal Chancellery of Switzerland and participated in the Externship program at the Superior Court of California (County of Los Angeles). He then served as a court clerk at the Swiss Federal Court of Administration (Division V, Asylum law) and was a visiting researcher at Saint Louis University Law School (SLU) as well as the Eötvös Lorànd University (ELTE) in Budapest, Hungary before eventually becoming a partner at Schuermann Fischer.
