Erin Ashwell is Chief Deputy Attorney General for the Office of the Attorney General. In that role, Erin supervises the work of the Office of the Attorney General, devising legal strategy for a wide variety of challenges faced by the Commonwealth. Prior to her appointment, Erin was a partner at Woods Rogers in Roanoke, Virginia. There she focused on appellate work, litigating frequently before the Supreme Court of Virginia.
She was also an active community volunteer, co-founding a non-profit focused on increasing access to books. Erin is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School.
