Ellen Popko is part of the Berkman Klein Geek Team specializing in desktop support, end-user technology, instructional design, and technical logistics.  Ellen joined the Berkman Klein Center in 2008.  During her time at the Center she has provided technical support and design to classes taught through Harvard Law School, edX, HarvardX, and the Harvard Extension School.  Ellen runs a weekly technical forum called "Geeks Hour" for members of the Berkman Klein and Harvard comunity-at-large.  She currenlty serves as the Organization Administrator for The Berkman Klein Center to the Google Summer of Code program.

Prior to coming to the Berkman Klein Center, Ellen worked for Tufts University Information Technology where she coordinated IT efforts with a focus towards the Tufts medical community.  Ellen has been a technology consultant to Tufts Medical School, Mt. Auburn Hospital, and Children’s Hospital Boston with a focus on clinical technology and electronic medical records systems. In addition, Ellen has worked for the United States Census Bureau helping coordinate operations and support for a wide variety of federal studies including the American Community Survey, Consumer Expenditure Survey, and the 2000 Census.

When not in front of a computer screen Ellen enjoys spending time outdoors including cycling, backpacking, and snowboarding.
