Danil Kerimi, Director, Digital Economy and Global Technology Policy, World Economic Forum/Member of the Secretariat of NETmundial Initiative. At the Forum, Danil is responsible for shaping global tech policy agenda. Danil leads the work on internet governance and digital economy in addition to managing Global Agenda Council on Cybersecurity. Danil is also Forum's focal point for the NETmundial Initiative, a coordinated effort with ICANN and the The Brazilian Internet Steering Committee that aims to provide a platform that helps catalyse practical cooperation between all stakeholders in order to address multiple Internet governance issues, o serve as a neutral clearinghouse for issues, solutions, expertise and resources in Internet governance, enable open, inclusive, balanced and collaborative communities to share knowledge and expertise, leading to best practices, suggestions, innovation and solutions to address challenges identified by the community, assist developing-country communities, governments and underserved stakeholders by enabling capacity development efforts and in networking with relevant organizations and processes in order to address gaps in policy development. Prior to joining the World Economic Forum, Danil had various leadership positions with the United Nations, Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, International Organization for Migration and other international organizations. He is a graduate of Shandong University, Vienna Diplomatic Academy and Global Leadership Fellowship offered by the World Economic Forum in collaboration with a number of academic partners.
