David Sullivan

As Director of Learning and Development, David works to enhance and expand the Global Network Initiative’s collaboration between ICT companies, civil society organizations, investors, and academics. He devises and executes a shared learning agenda for participating members, strengthens membership integration and works to recruit new members and secure diverse funding sources. David returns to GNI after a year working as an independent business and human rights consultant. David was the second staff member employed by GNI when he joined the organization as Policy and Communications in Director in 2011.

Prior to joining GNI, David was Research Director at the Enough Project at the Center for American Progress, where he oversaw field research and policy analysis on preventing mass atrocities in Africa. David has worked for the International Rescue Committee in Liberia, supported free and fair elections in Pakistan, and managed humanitarian programs across Africa.

David holds a master’s degree from the Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies in Washington DC, and a bachelor’s degree from Amherst College.
