This course will examine trademark law and the law of unfair
competition in the United States and in other countries. Substantial
attention will be paid to efforts by economic and cultural theorists to
justify, reform, or abolish the trademark system. Students will be
expected to participate in an online discussion of the issues raised by
the course. Materials will consist of cases and secondary materials
available at the Distribution Center and through the course homepage.
