Program Administrator, Cyberlaw Clinic

The Cyberlaw Clinic, based at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society, is a Harvard Law School (HLS) clinical program in which HLS students enroll for credit and provide pro bono legal services at the intersection of law, social justice, and technology. The Clinic’s core values include the promotion of a robust and inclusive online ecosystem for free expression; the advancement of diversity and mitigation of the impact of bias in tech development and tech policy; advocacy for open government; and support for cultural production through balanced regulatory and enforcement regimes. The Program Administrator will report to the Clinic’s Assistant and Managing Directors to administer the activities, policies, and procedures of the Clinic, assist with day-to-day Clinic needs, and serve as the administrative point of contact between the Clinic and the Berkman Klein Center administration.
As a Program Administrator, you will:
Provide administrative supervision, guidance, and assistance to all Cyberlaw Clinic staff, students, and interns on Clinic policies and processes and client matters, as well as relevant Berkman Klein Center policies and processes.
Lead the Clinic’s communications efforts, planning and composing coverage of the Clinic’s activities through social media posts and newsletters, and collaborate with Berkman Klein, HLS, and/or University communications staff as necessary.
Organize and manage, using available resources from Faculty Support Services, support for HLS classes taught by Clinic staff.
Administer the Clinic’s summer internship program, overseeing the application and interview process, and liaising with Berkman Klein staff around programming.
Coordinate Clinic event programming, including panels, talks, special guests, student networking events, and trainings on Clinic systems, working with students/student groups, Berkman Klein staff, and others as necessary.
Manage day-to-day operations of the Clinic, including ordering and maintaining office supplies and space, and providing statistical reports on student hours as well as cases and clients served.
Serve as contact point for Berkman Klein financial director and staff with regard to Clinic financial transactions, including payments and reimbursements; assist with annual budgeting process as needed.
Work with Clinic staff to develop, update, and maintain program policies and processes, including time-management and scheduling tools as well as working with students and staff to ensure file storage is organized and up-to-date.
Serve as principal administrative contact and liaison for internal HLS departments.
Basic Qualifications
Five or more years of related experience. Education beyond high school may count toward experience.

Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
Solid writing, editing, and proofreading skills and fluency in MS Office and social media platforms.
Proven ability to deal with confidential and sensitive material/information in a professional manner and to handle information with discretion, sound judgment and attention to detail.
Prior experience working in a legal setting and with clients and students preferred.
Additional Information
This is a term appointment expected to extend through June 30, 2023, subject to departmental funding and need.
