Taylor Lorenz discusses what happens to Tiktok users, creators and influencer economy if the United States bans the app with The Verge.
“I compared it to sports in a tweet last week, and other people have made the same comparison,” Lorenz says. “If you think of the top NBA players, you can’t just suddenly expect them all to succeed in golf or something like that. Yeah, maybe a few of them will. We saw that with Vine, right? The top players, the Jake Pauls of the world, they had enough of an audience and they could sort of adapt to this new format.”
