David Weinberger joined the “Voices in AI” podcast to discuss the nature of artificial intelligence and his book Everyday Chaos.
“We historically have a tendency to understand ourselves, to interpret ourselves in our world through the latest big technology, whether that's information, you know computers and then started in the 1950s when we started to actually feel ourselves processing information and would feel information overload, or the scheme before that when we would feel ourselves under pressure,” Weinberger said. “So if machine learning and AI are the next big sort of Age of AI, I'm pretty sure that's going to be right, that's the case, then can we start to think about what it will be like? Can we see signs already of what it's like to be understanding ourselves in terms of machine learning?”
