Sarah is the Outreach Coordinator at the Applied Social Media Lab, where she develops partnerships and builds collaborative networks to advance public interest technology. Her work centers on connecting researchers, civic organizations, and industry partners through co-design workshops, demonstrations, and engagement initiatives that ensure the Lab’s tools are responsive to diverse community needs.
Throughout her career, Sarah worked across the nonprofit and policy sectors with a focus on equity in education and youth leadership. At Give Chances, she expanded organizational growth by securing new funding streams and cultivating partnerships with schools, local governments, and community organizations. As Chief Operating Officer of Dear Asian Youth, she oversaw global operations and established collaborations with academic and nonprofit institutions to strengthen advocacy and outreach. She has also held previous roles at First Tech Fund, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, and Columbia World Projects, where she bridged research, policy, and community impact.
Sarah holds an MSc in Comparative Social Policy from the University of Oxford and a BA in Political Science from Columbia University. She is passionate about designing inclusive partnership models, fostering mentorship opportunities, and reimagining community-building through innovation.
