Maria Löblich

Maria Löblich is Assistant Professor at the Department of Communication Science and Media Research at Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich in Germany. In 2009 she completed her PhD. Dr. Löblich's dissertation project analyzed the history of German communication science from a sociology of science perspective.

Her current research focuses on political processes and regulatory arrangements in internet policy at the national and cross-country comparative level. She has a particular interest in discourses, values, actor constellations and questions of power and influence in internet policy. During her Berkman Fellowship Maria Löblich will work on civil society's involvement in net neutrality contentions and its intertwining with other political actors in the United States.
