Jessica Polka is director of ASAPbio, a researcher-driven initiative to promote the productive use of preprints in the life sciences. She is also president of the BoD of Future of Research, a non-profit that encourages junior scientists to advocate for systemic changes to the biomedical research enterprise. Prior to this, she received a PhD in biochemistry from UCSF and performed postdoctoral research in synthetic biology at Harvard Medical School.
