Another fall semester is upon us, bringing new courses, opportunities, and challenges. Whether you’re new to Cambridge and Harvard, starting a program at a neighboring school, or an old friend of Berkman, read on to learn what’s afoot at the Center this coming semester. We hope you'll join us!
Berkman faculty will be teaching a number of Internet-related courses at HLS and Harvard College this fall, including:
- Copyright with William Fisher
- CyberOne: Law in the Court of Public Opinion with Charles Nesson
- Freshman Seminar - Cyberspace in Court: Law of the Internet with Phil Malone
- Intellectual Property Law: Advanced with William Fisher
- Practical Lawyering in Cyberspace: Seminar with Phil Malone and John Palfrey
In addition to classes –- keep an eye out as coursework and discussions often pop up online! –- there are many other ways for students from Harvard and other colleges and universities in the area to get involved and learn about Internet and society issues.
Internship and research assistant opportunities with Berkman projects and people are now listed over on our Get Involved page. The positions run the gamut, and a full range of interests and skills are sought. Information about applying can be found on each individual position listing.
Our Fall Open House will take place at 7PM on September 24, at 50 Church Street in Harvard Square. In addition to snacks and drinks, a heaping helping of information about research positions specifically and Center projects generally will be served up.
Finally, our fall event slate is packed. If you’re around the Harvard campus, check them out! Free and open to the public unless otherwise noted, Berkman events are a great way to join provocative conversations, learn about the issues of the day, stay in the loop. Visit our Events page for more information, and sign up for our Weekly Events email.
Again, welcome back, and we hope to see you around the Center soon!
