Communications/Executive Assistant Opportunity

We're looking for an energetic new person to join the Berkman team as a Communications/Executive Assistant!  You'd be central to keeping the site you're now looking at afloat, and providing support to John Palfrey, our executive director.  We're hoping to fill the position by year's end, and we'd love to hear from you if you think the shoe would fit!  The position description reads:

Reporting to the Communications Manager, this is a dual administrative support role that links the communications team to the executive director (ED) by performing vital functions for each: 1) Communications support: helps the communications team to execute the Center's communications strategy, including: writing blog/homepage posts, maintaining press archive, fielding press calls, helping create publications, maintaining contacts database, drafting press releases, developing/preparing marketing materials and press packets, supporting events, and performing other communications-related functions. 2) Executive support: provides right-hand organizational support to ED, helping to maximize his productivity, including: scheduling, prioritizing, arranging travel, fielding calls, generally acting as shadow to ED, and otherwise bringing order to a busy and overcommitted executive/professor who is at the center of most Berkman activities. In short, helps keep the ED on schedule while helping the communications team remain in synch with the ED and vice versa.
