Internet & Democracy Blog Gets Rolling
The recently announced Internet & Democracy project - launched earlier this year - has just posted to their project blog for the first time.
This inaugural post looks at the pressing and intriguing issue of "Myanmar's 'Dictator's Dilemma'?," a topic well suited for a project that seeks to understand how the Internet is used in a variety of political settings.
The crisis in Myanmar has drawn the attention of many of the Berkman Center's international projects including: Global Voices, which has devoted an entire page to cataloging the events through the perspective of local bloggers; and the OpenNet Initiative has kept a close watch on the government's reaction to Internet service, which proved to be quick and comprehensive.
