Berkman & HBS Host "Internet as a Public Good"

For the second day, the Berkman Center, Harvard Business School, and the Mozilla Foundation play host to a symposium on the topic of "Internet as a Public Good," which has brought together academics, entrepreneurs, technologists, economists, and others to discuss the challenging questions around this idea from their respective fields.

The symposium is exploring the meaning and future of the Net as a public good through a combination of discussions and case studies.  Is it the Net as public good, the Net for public good, the Net of public goods...or something else altogether?

During this first edition of the gathering, we will work to improve the understanding of what the Net means to our near-global society and to use this understanding to further our own work and the work of others.

The symposium itself is an invitation only event, taking place yesterday and today at Harvard Business School. However, we hope to foster the development of more “Internet as a Public Good” events and encourage you to take part in the conversation at the IPG Facebook group and on the IPG wiki.
