New Programs of Note

From John at PRX...

We get very excited here seeing the volume and the quality of the audio appearing on PRX. It is a bit like Christmas some days; new listening with no batteries required.

Let me point your sharpened ears to two new items, that is, new to PRX:

Studio 360's American Icons series from PRI These programs aired over the last year and if you were lucky enough to hear them originally, well, lucky you. But now they have been freed from the massive Studio 360 archives as a perfect summer series. Why perfect? Because this is the sort of series that inspires, enlightens, entertains and just makes you want to pick up Moby Dick (go ahead, raise some eyebrows at the pool) or rent Superman because there is so much to all of these icons worth considering...beyond our initial impressions. Summer is not a throw-away time for programming. Delight you listeners with some of the smartest radio around.

NPR's All Songs Considered. Of course these are not all songs but host Bob Boilen spans far and wide in his musical tastes. And if your ears were tastebuds, they would dance at these programs and selections. So go ahead, take a listen and groove and rate and review these. Stations: treat your listeners to another side of NPR.

PRX is excited to work with NPR and PRI to make these programs available. What else would you like to hear on the radio?
