The Berkman Center is looking for a software developer to help design and build democracy related tools and communities. We seek to share and amplify diverse voices through the identification, configuration and development of new and open tools and channels for communication and organization.
The internet provides exciting opportunities for civic engagement due to its capacity to rapidly create, share and develop information, ideas and action. Many throughout the world are unfamiliar with these technologies, do not understand how to use them effectively, or lack tools for their particular setting. To assist us in this area, we seek a developer who has a passion for creative and elegant client and server side problem solving, excels at rapid implementation of ideas, who isn't afraid to get her hands dirty, and has a sense of humor.
