Weinberger Chats with Physicist Neil DeGrasse Tyson

Continuing his series of interviews for Wired, David Weinberger addresses another topic of his latest work Everything is Miscellaneous, this time with Physicist Neil deGrasse Tyson on the largest organization: the universe.

DeGrasse Tyson of NOVA Science Now and Director of the Hayden Planetarium at the American Museum of Natural History, talks about the problems with categorizing large masses into planets, stars, etc.  He also takes on the rest of the cosmos, by refuting a number of current standard categorizations, but expresses that a correct taxonomy is necessary to better understand the function of all of the moving parts in the infinite expanse.

The podcast of the interview and a full transcript are available on the Wired Blog, where you can also check out David's previous interviews with Cory Doctorow of Boing Boing, Markos Moulitsas Zuniga of the Daily Kos, and Arianna Huffington of The Huffington Post.  Everything is Miscellaneous is now available and can be found on the Berkman Books page.
