Citizen Media Law Project Launches Website
The Citizen Media Law Project - a joint venture of the Berkman Center and the Center for Citizen Media - has launched their new website! The CMLP's mission is to provide practical legal knowledge and tools for citizen media creators.
The site will host a blog, database of legal threats, and a legal guide (under construction), as it works to build a community of journalists, lawyers, academics, and others who are interested - and proactively engaged - in issues relating to journalism on the Internet.
In the inaugural blog post, Berkman Fellow and Project Director David Ardia, encourages feedback from the community to help the CMLP create the most effective legal guide, which will look at the issues of copyright, defamation, and more in a searchable and dynamic online resource.
For those interested in joining the work of the Citizen Media Law Project, please visit the participation page of the new website, or the Berkman Center employment page for internship opportunities, student employment, and job listings.
