Public Radio "Talent Quest" Underway

The Public Radio Talent Quest, conducted by Public Radio Exchange (PRX) recently got underway and the response has been great.  As PRX Executive Director Jake Shapiro said in a recent post "We're really hoping to cast the widest possible net for new talent, and as stations sign on to help spread the word and some network shows like Weekend America join in the fun, we could well end up in 4 or - gulp - 5 figures for entries."

Some recent publicity - including yesterday's NY Times article and today's Boston Herald - has kicked the contest into high-gear and entries of all kinds are being submitted.  In addition to the serious, the educational, the informative, there has also been the satirical submission.

To particpate in the contest, entries must be received by the April 15th deadline.  The first round voting will then take place between April 16th and May 14th.  The specifics and guidelines are available on the contest website, along with message boards and a selection of entrants.
