MySpace Politcal Page Adds to Campaign's Web Presence

This week, social networking site MySpace.com released its "MySpace Impact" page, which provides a platform for Presidential candidates to create official profiles.  Many of the campaigns have already taken advantage of this means of communication with potential voters.

A number of new forums have popped up, beyond traditional campaign websites, during this early stretch of the 2008 campaign season.  YouTube created "You Choose '08" to collect official campaign videos and commercials, that candidates want to circulate and campaign headquarters have begun to pop-up in Second Life.

Both the New York Times and Associated Press have provided coverage on this latest advent in political networking and Berkman Executive Director John Palfrey recently spoke with New Scientist about the proliferation of these communication tools.
