New Study: E-Compliance - Towards a Roadmap for Effective Risk Management
Urs Gasser, a Berkman Fellow and Director of the Research Center for Information Law at the University of St. Gallen (FIR-HSG), has just released a report with Daniel Haeusermann of FIR-HSG entitled: "E-Compliance: Towards a Roadmap for Effective Risk Management."
The report looks at the past decade and how "the legal system has done a remarkable job of absorbing the shockwaves of digital technology." Urs and Daniel argue that the wide use of communication technology in business leads to new challenges in the management of risks where law, technology, and the marketplace intersect. They provide a means to manage these challenges "both in and outside the dot-com industry," with "practical guidelines for the management of E-Compliance activi-ties and ends with recommendations."
