IMA Preps in Boston for Beyond Broadcast

All this week the Integrated Media Association has been meeting in Boston, on the eve of Beyond Broadcast 2007, to discuss a number of issues relating to "public media."

The guiding themes for their agenda are:
*The central role of public broadcasting in defining a broader field of "public media."
*That non-commercial media producers and organizations will continue to be important online and on-air, both here in the States and around the World.
*M
ajor universities, specialized publishers, secondary schools, museums, arts organizations, and others could be the foundation for new, socially essential services that will not be developed by commercial interests.

Join the conversation online before the conference closes on Saturday with the Beyond Broadcast sessions.
