Reuters Utilizes Global Voices for New Africa News Site

Today, international news organization, Reuters launched a new website devoted entirely to news about Africa.  One of the great features of this new site is the prominent display of Global Voices blogs on each country's page.  This use of citizen media by a mainstream news organization is the latest in a long line of great acheivements by the project.

Founded by Berkman Fellows Ethan Zuckerman and Rebecca MacKinnon, Global Voices connects a world-wide network of bloggers and citizen journalists by promoting conversations and perspectives, facilitating the use of new media, and advocating for human rights and freedom of expression. 

Ethan Zukerman, who has been championing the task of bringing media attention to Africa for years, has quite a lot to say about this development.
