Prof. Nesson & Harvard Law Go to Cybertrial

Following the innovative path that CyberOne blazed, as the first law school course held in Second Life, Prof. Charles Nesson and his evidence class held a mock trial in "the court of public opinion."

Taking the real case of Bragg v. Linden Lab (the creator and administrator of Second Life) which is still pending, the course presented and tried the case in Second Life to all those that wished to view or participate.

Metaverse Messenger, a publication about Second Life, noted that "The mock trial was not intended to settle the case... but rather to give... insight into the trial process, and to explore many underlying issues of conflict resolution in the context of (Second Life)."
