Open Education Gets Latest Boost

Many in the academic community have actively sought to utilize the Net's reach and accessibility to allow for greater open access to education and educational resources.  The latest step has been taken through the Open Education Resources (OER) Commons.

OER Commons provides teaching and learning materials that are freely available online for everyone to use, whether you are an instructor, student, or self-learner.  The Berkman Center, Harvard Library Open Collection Programs, and M.I.T. OpenCourseWare are just some of the contributors to their material, from a network of academic and research facilities around the world.

Visit their site to learn more about the opportunities and goals of this promising, collaborative project.
