Luncheon Series: Discussion & Webcast

This week's luncheon series guests were Chad Maglaque and Timothy Killian of MorePerfect.org on "Civics 2.0". MorePerfect is a web initiative approaching democracy in a direct, public, participatory way through the internet and wikis.

Berkman fellow David Weinberger blogged the luncheon.  He writes, "...Rather than making laws out of public view, citizens ought to be involved early on in the creation of law and policy. MorePerfect uses MediaWiki, the same software used by Wikipedia. But the application is different. Wikipedia aims at 'NPOV'— neutral point of view—and ends up with edit wars on some political topics. MorePerfect is structured differently..."
