College Students' Piracy Survey

Five undergraduate students at Harvard University - all of whom studied together in Berkman Center executive director John Palfrey's "Law of the Internet" seminar this past fall - have created a new website, PiracyEdu, for education about file-sharing in American universities.

The goal of PiracyEdu's founders is to investigate the computer and file-sharing habits of the current college generation. They also hope to educate their peers about current copyright and sharing laws, both at the government level and in local policies around internet use at individual educational institutions.

As part of their project, the students have launched a web-based survey on attitudes and behaviors around online piracy. If you are a current U.S. college undergrad, please check out their quick survey here. If you aren't a student, you can follow their progress on the PiracyEdu blog.
