Vendor Relationship Management

Doc Searls' Berkman Fellowship involves research on the individual's existence and empowerment in the networked world.  Proposed as the counter to the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems used by corporations as tools to track and control consumers, Doc and others are exploring Vendor Relationship Management (VRM) systems, ways by which the individual is in control of how, when and why they disclose information about their needs.

Doc has sprung a wiki as the home to Project VRM, and you can sign up for the open mailing list for further discussion.
