Come to The Coop in Harvard Square on Monday, November 8 at 7:00 p.m. Professor Terry Fisher, Director of the Berkman Center, will discuss and sign his new book, Promises to Keep. Fisher's proposal to create an alternative compensation system for rewarding creators of media offers a different course in today's swamp of copyright lawsuits, "user education campaigns," and legislative faceoffs. According to the New York Times, "Fisher's proposal might be the best thing that ever happened to the cultural commons." Chapters of the book are also available online.
