The Election, the Internet, and Politics Worldwide

How has the internet affected politics? This question will be the focus of the Berkman Center's conference in December, Votes, Bits & Bytes. We'll bring politicians, activists, bloggers, business leaders, scholars and internet visionaries to Cambridge from December 9-11, 2004 to take a hard look at whether the internet is making a real difference in politics, both in the U.S. and globally. Confirmed speakers include: Scott Heiferman, CEO of Meetup.com; Esther Dyson, Editor at Large for CNet; Prof. Robert Putnam, author of Bowling Alone; and Craig Newmark, Founder of Craigslist.org. Registration is now open, but space is limited, so reserve your place now.
